MORETON 'C' TEAM UPDATE - By Roger Templeman (Non-playing Capt)

The 'C' team currently lies 7th in Division 3 and will hopefully maintain its newly-acquired status. Tim Raby, transferred from the Reading League, has done well with 67% but has now left us for an extended overseas holiday. Cameron Bowen has recently joined the team from Division 4 and has a creditable 44% and is improving fast. Last week he recorded a maximum including a notable win over the top player in the division. We then have 3 players who cannot play regularly with Roger Haycock on a useful 44%. Richard Redding (17%) and Chairman Bob Price (7%) have found it hard to show their best form as a result of many overseas trips.

MORETON 'D' TEAM UPDATE - By Mike Dawes (Capt)

After starting the season with a 10-0 defeat when we blooded 3 youngsters (Nathan and Jessica Cheong and Sam Templeman) against an Abingdon team of good adults, the team quickly recovered with two 10-0 wins. Part of the early success was due to Cameron Bowen who joined from Wallingford, and then by two more former Wallingford players in Luke Sherrratt and Andy Cook. In December the decision was taken to promote Cameron to the C team, and Tak was brought into the squad. With half the season complete we lie 5th in the division, with the leading players percentages being Mike Dawes (52%), Luke (83%), and Andy (67%). We are the only Moreton team left in the Handicap Shield following the heroics of Andy and Luke away at Div 1 Abingdon A

MORETON 'B' TEAM UPDATE - By Richard Smith(Capt)

Moreton B have struggled to come to terms with the higher standard of play in Division 3 following their promotion last season. Whilst the team has battled hard and had a number of close matches they have not been able to inflict the killer blow and have yet to record their first win. Out of the 11 games played, 9 have been lost and 2 drawn. The team is determined to record its first victory in 2005 and look forward to the second half of the season. Current team avearages: Richard 78%, Nick 17% and James 13%.
